AXL compensation axis and Vybris vibration isolator are made to reduce unwanted vibrations from the gimbal. @cineplane was looking for a solution to isolate high frequency vibrations of the engine, wind force, G-force and other aeronautic movements. Furthermore, it was important to have a lightweight but very robust solution which is not effected by environmental conditions.
This setup works by absorbing the vibrational energy of a piece of equipment and then dissipating it in a way that doesn’t affect the structural integrity of the gear. The compensation axis and vibration isolator reduce the amount of stress on gimbals and cameras and helps to provide greater control and stability during filming. It works by detecting and counteracting any unwanted movements or vibrations in the camera, helping to maintain stability and smoothness in the footage.
